Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2026-06-26
pMix Studio, a product of Smash It Studios Pty Ltd (ABN: 30 675 885 079) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit https://pmix.studio, use the pMix Studio app, or contact us for support.
We do not sell personal information, and the current App Store build does not use data for targeted advertising, advertising measurement, or data-broker sharing.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
pMix Studio is a live production app. Your production media is under your control.
In the current App Store build, pMix Studio does not collect:
- Raw production video or audio: We do not upload, store, or process your normal program video, production audio, NDI feeds, local recordings, or RTMP streams on pMix servers.
- NDI streams: NDI communication occurs on your local network between your devices.
- Local recordings: Recordings saved by pMix Studio stay on your device unless you choose to share or upload them elsewhere.
- Raw voice-command microphone audio: Voice commands are transcribed on device with Apple speech recognition. pMix Studio does not upload raw microphone audio for voice commands.
- Precise location: The app does not request or store precise location.
- pMix account credentials or payment cards: The current App Store build does not require a pMix account and does not collect pMix usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, or billing addresses.
When you choose to stream or upload to a third-party destination, such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, or a custom RTMP server, your content is sent to that destination under its privacy policy and settings.
2. Information You Provide
We may receive information you choose to provide directly, including:
- Support and contact information: Your name, email address, and message content when you contact us.
- Feedback and troubleshooting details: Information you include in support requests, bug reports, screenshots, or diagnostic exports.
- Project and app settings you choose to share: Production settings, scene layouts, mixer state, logs, or configuration details if you send them to us for support.
Production projects, scenes, overlays, source configurations, and local recordings are stored on your iOS or iPadOS device unless you choose to export, share, stream, or upload them.
3. Optional Diagnostics and Analytics
Crash reporting, anonymous usage analytics, telemetry, and remote diagnostic log upload are off by default in the current App Store build. You can enable or disable these from Settings.
When enabled, optional diagnostics and analytics may include:
- Crash reports: Crash data, stack traces, app version, OS version, device model, and related diagnostic context. Crash reporting uses Bugsink and Sentry-compatible tooling.
- Anonymous usage analytics: App launches, feature events, foreground/background state, and similar product-interaction events. Anonymous usage analytics uses Aptabase.
- Performance and diagnostic data: Performance events, CPU, battery or thermal state, log level, log category, log messages, traces, app version, build, OS version, device model, and per-session identifiers. Remote diagnostic logs and traces may use SigNoz or OpenObserve.
These diagnostics are used to improve app stability, troubleshoot issues, understand which features need attention, and support users who choose to share diagnostic information. They are not used for tracking across apps or websites.
We avoid collecting stable device identifiers for pMix telemetry unless a future SDK privacy report or App Store privacy update requires otherwise. The reviewed telemetry posture uses session-level identifiers, device model, OS version, and app/build information rather than IDFA or IDFV.
4. AI Features
pMix Studio includes optional AI features, available only after you grant Cloud AI permission on first use. When you use AI chat or AI voice commands, information needed to process the request may leave your device.
AI requests may include:
- Text prompts you type into the AI chat.
- Transcribed voice-command text generated on device by Apple speech recognition.
- Mixer state, source names, scene state, command context, and other app state included so the assistant can understand the current production.
- Assistant responses, parsed command descriptions, and optional AI diagnostic logs.
AI requests are sent to the pMix AI gateway: a pMix-operated Cloudflare Worker that forwards the request to the Cloudflare AI Gateway and on to the model provider (currently Groq). No third-party model-provider API keys are stored in the app; the provider credential lives only server-side in the Worker. Provider processing is governed by the applicable provider terms and privacy policy.
To prevent abuse, pMix Studio uses Apple App Attest (DeviceCheck) to prove that cloud AI requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app before the gateway will process them. On cloud-AI use the app sends a per-install Secure Enclave attestation to Apple’s DeviceCheck service and to the pMix gateway. This is an anti-fraud measure only: it carries a per-install attestation key, not personal data, account identity, or a stable cross-install device identifier, and is not used for tracking or advertising.
Voice command audio is transcribed on device. pMix Studio sends the resulting text when needed for AI command processing; it does not upload raw microphone audio for voice commands.
Optional AI vision commands may upload a still JPEG snapshot through the same pMix AI gateway (Cloudflare AI Gateway to the model provider) to locate a named subject or target. Explicit or unsafe vision targets are rejected on device before any snapshot is uploaded. This is separate from normal production output. Normal program video, NDI feeds, local recordings, and RTMP streams are not sent to pMix servers unless you choose a third-party destination for streaming or sharing.
5. Website, Network, and Security Data
When you visit our website or use online app features, servers and service providers necessarily process basic network metadata, such as IP address, request time, user agent, and requested URL, to route requests, maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
pMix Studio does not request precise location permission. We do not use the app to collect precise location or to build location profiles. If our backend logging practices change to retain IP-derived location beyond transient request routing and security operations, we will update this policy and App Store Connect privacy disclosures as required.
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, preferences, security, or basic traffic measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- App functionality: To provide pMix Studio features, AI commands, support workflows, streaming integrations, diagnostics, and service operation.
- Stability and performance: To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, improve reliability, and understand app performance when optional telemetry is enabled.
- Support: To respond to questions, investigate issues, and process information you choose to send us.
- Security and legal compliance: To protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.
We do not use pMix Studio app data for third-party advertising tracking.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy.
7.1 Service Providers
We use service providers to operate pMix Studio and related services, including:
- Crash reporting: Bugsink and Sentry-compatible crash reporting.
- Anonymous analytics: Aptabase.
- Remote diagnostics: SigNoz or OpenObserve.
- AI processing: The pMix AI gateway — a pMix-operated Cloudflare Worker, gated by Apple App Attest — forwarding through the Cloudflare AI Gateway to the model provider (Groq).
- Hosting, email, support, and security services: Providers that help us operate the website, support channels, and backend services.
These providers may access information only as needed to provide their services to us and are expected to protect it under their own terms, policies, and confidentiality obligations.
7.2 Third-Party Streaming and Sharing Destinations
When you choose to livestream, upload, or share content to a third-party platform, your content and related metadata are sent to that destination. Examples include YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and custom RTMP servers. We do not control those services, and their privacy policies apply.
7.3 NDI and Local Network Communication
NDI and local camera communication occur between devices on your local network. pMix servers do not receive, store, or access those streams as part of normal app use.
7.4 Legal Requirements and Business Transfers
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud. If Smash It Studios Pty Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Support communications are retained as needed to respond to you and maintain support history.
- Optional analytics and diagnostic records are retained according to the settings and retention periods of the relevant provider.
- Production data stored locally in pMix Studio remains under your control on your device.
- Australian financial and business records may need to be retained for legally required periods where applicable.
You can delete local pMix Studio production data by deleting projects, clearing app data where available, or uninstalling the app. To request deletion of personal information held by us, contact hello@pmix.studio. If your request relates to Facebook, Instagram, or another Meta integration, you can also follow our User Data Deletion Instructions.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you.
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access and correct your personal information. If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may contact us or lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with privacy rights, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

11. International Data Transfers
Smash It Studios Pty Ltd is based in Australia. If you use our services from outside Australia, information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in Australia or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
